Abbeyfield are pleased to announce the appointment of our new global logistic manager Mr Samir Shirin to the team. Samir has been working in International Logistics since 1991 and has experience in shipping and documentation on a worldwide basis. Samir is joining Abbeyfield from the Irish Dairy Board where he handled their global logistic function. He will play a key role in supporting the continuous improvements in the Abbeyfield systems and we look forward to having him on the team.
Our updated brochure which included our new packaging option has been well received at the ANUGA Food Fair in Cologne. During the fair we received a number of positive enquiries from the Middle East to use the ABBEYFRIES and ABBEYSEA brands for their products . We are following up on these enquiries and hope to launch both brands during the first half of 2012. As part of our continued expansion in the Middle East region Ashfaq Parekh has been appointed General Manager of Abbeyfield Foods DMCC. Ashfaq joined Abbeyfield in June 2010 as Sales Manager and has been instrumental in building the company to where it is today in the region. Ashfaq has over 20 years experience in the food industry and is available on the ground to meet with our clients on a daily basis. We are now looking for additional traders to work with Ahsfaq and Antonio to further increase our presence in the region.

We are pleased to announce that we have opened our new sales office in Suite 2806, Fortune Executive Tower in the Dubai Multi Commodity Centre in Jumerah Lakes Towers , Dubai, UAE to serve the Middle East region. Our new general Manager Ashfaq Parekh , sales executive Antonio Braga and office assistant Carol Barros will be based there from October 2011. This is an important step in the further development of Abbeyfield in the region and we look forward to welcoming you to our new office in the near future.

We are pleased to announce that John Nolan ACCA has joined the Abbeyfield board from December 2010. John has been involved with the company since the outset on a consultancy basis and was instrumental in developing the complete financial control and reporting package. The board are delighted that he has accepted this position and look forward to his very valuable input into the further development of the company going forward.
Abbeyfield had a very successful fair at the recent SIAL Food Fair held in Paris in October 2010 with over 200 visitors. As well as meeting existing clients and friends we met many new contacts. We look forward to developing these relationships further.
