We are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the forthcoming SIAL Food Fair in Shanghai from the 9th to 11th May 2012 in order to strengthen our presence in the region. We look forward to meeting you on our stand N4E031 during the fair.

We would like to thank all those who visited our stand during Gulf Food 2012. The show this year was the busiest to date and is now the most important show in the Middle East. We will be following up on all enquiries in the coming days.

Abbeyfield Foods have been incredibly busy since Gulfood 2011. This was their first time to exhibit at the show and they were extremely happy with the enquiries received from both new and existing customers. The show for them has helped enormously to increase their presence in the Middle East.

As part of their continuing expansion in the region they have now opened a new sales office in Dubai in Suite 2806, Fortune Executive Tower in the Dubai Multi Commodity Centre in Jumerah Lakes Towers.  Ashfaq Parekh has been appointed General Manager-Middle East and he will be responsible for the expansion of the ABBEYFIELD brand throughout the region.  Ashfaq joined the Company in June 2010 as Sales Manager for the Middle East markets. He has over 20 years experience in the food industry and has been instrumental in building the company and ABBEYFIELD brand to where it is today in the region.

Paul Murphy, Managing Director  indicated that   “this is an important step in the further development of Abbeyfield  and we look forward to building our team further,  to service our new and existing  clients throughput the Middle East”.

They have already appointed another sales executive Raja Tyagi, who will be based in Dehli ,to handle purchases and quality control in India and they are planning to recruit more traders over the coming months.

Abbeyfield is also planning to launch their ABBEYSEA and ABBEYFRIES brand in the Middle East during GULFOOD 2012 and welcome any enquiries by e-mail prior to the show.  The ABBEYSEA brand is being used for their premium Fish and Seafood product range which represents  excellant quality with high end packaging appealing to the buyer.   The ABBEYFRIES brand specialises in French Fries and Wedges again representing high quality and visually appealing packaging.

The Dubai Office will source beef, offal, lamb, poultry, seafood, vegetables, French fries and other food related products from around the world.  With over 30 years experience in the food sourcing and supply business, Abbeyfield have many long standing relationships with some of the world’s top suppliers.  Abbeyfield are constantly striving to meet their customer’s requirements and due to  the geographical locations of many of their  suppliers, they work through many time zones to ensure they provide up to the minute trends, prices, market information and  quality every time .

The Abbeyfield team will be available throughout the fair on their stand in Hall 3 stand no G3-50 at Gulfood 2012.   In the meantime they are available by email on sales@abbeyfieldfoods.com for any enquires prior to the show.

Abbeyfield are pleased to announce the appointment of our new global logistic manager Mr Samir Shirin to the team.  Samir has been working in International Logistics since 1991 and has experience in shipping and documentation on a worldwide basis.  Samir is joining Abbeyfield from the Irish Dairy Board where he handled their global logistic function. He will play a key role in supporting  the continuous improvements in  the Abbeyfield systems and we look forward to having him on the team.



Our updated brochure which included our new packaging option has been well received at the ANUGA Food Fair in Cologne. During the fair we received a number of positive enquiries from the Middle East to use the ABBEYFRIES and ABBEYSEA brands for their products . We are following up on these enquiries and hope to launch both brands during the first half of 2012. As part of our continued expansion in the Middle East region Ashfaq Parekh has been appointed General Manager of Abbeyfield Foods DMCC. Ashfaq joined Abbeyfield in June 2010 as Sales Manager and has been instrumental in building the company to where it is today in the region. Ashfaq has over 20 years experience in the food industry and is available on the ground to meet with our clients on a daily basis. We are now looking for additional traders to work with Ahsfaq and Antonio to further increase our presence in the region.
